Koyeb is Joining Mistral AI to Build the Future of AI Infrastructure
Paris, France - February 17, 2026. Mistral AI has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire serverless cloud provider Koyeb, strengthening its Compute offering.
With this first acquisition, Mistral AI takes a significant step forward in its mission to build a full-stack AI champion and advance cutting-edge AI infrastructure.
Koyeb provides a high-performance serverless platform, enabling developers and businesses to run and scale AI applications without managing infrastructure. The platform combines the efficiency and simplicity of serverless with a unified way to run inference, securely execute AI-generated code, and power AI-native applications such as APIs, MCP servers, and web services.
Koyeb’s product and expertise will support our existing environments, including sandboxes and MCP servers, improve our ability to deploy our models on-premises, optimize our use of GPUs, and help inference teams in scaling AI.
Koyeb’s three co-founders and its highly experienced 13-member team will join Mistral’s engineering team in March 2026.
“Koyeb’s product and expertise will accelerate our development on the Compute front, and contribute to building a true AI Cloud.”, said Mistral AI’s CTO and co-founder Timothée Lacroix.
“Mistral Compute and Koyeb share the same mission of building world-class infrastructure for AI. We’re thrilled to join forces and bring Koyeb’s software platform to accelerate the build of state-of-the-art AI infrastructure accessible to everyone,” said Yann Leger, Koyeb CEO and co-founder.
Layer 7 Capital acted as Koyeb’s exclusive financial advisor for this transaction.
